Notice to Members May 2017
Members are asked to note that as required by the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 (Cth) the Australian Electoral Commission has given the Association a Report about the last NAD Elections, and in which it suggests the Association amend Rules 16 and 42 to allow electronic lodgement of nominations by candidates.
That recommendation is accepted by the Association and amendments will be made later this year. The AEC’s Report and the Association’s response are available to members on request.

Notice of application to change rules with the Fair Work Commission
Notice of Alteration of Eligibility Rule
On 27 July 2016, the Australian Hotels Association lodged a notice pursuant to s.158 (1) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 for consent to the alteration of the eligibility rule in the Rules of the Australian Hotels Association.

On 27 July 2016, the Australian Hotels Association lodged two notices pursuant to s.159 (1) of the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 for the certification of alterations of various rules (other than the eligibility rule) in the Rules of the Australian Hotels Association.
